Everton v Burnley betting tips: Blues can extend unbeaten start

Everton v Burnley betting tips and odds

Everton have made an unbeaten start under Rafael Benitez and can extend that run further against Burnley who have picked up just one point from their opening three games.

The Merseysiders will have Richarlison available after their gesture in releasing the Brazilian striker for the Olympics was viewed favourably by FIFA and they are 8/11 to win on Monday night.

Sean Dyche’s side enjoyed success against the Toffees last season so let’s look at the markets and odds in our Everton v Burnley betting tips.

Match Odds

Everton could not have asked for a much kinder start to the season having beaten Southampton and Brighton, with a draw against Leeds sandwiched in between, so with Burnley, Aston Villa and Norwich next in line they can improve on their current position of sixth.

That said, last season they lost 2-1 at home to Burnley who are 4/1 for another win, 13/5 to draw as they did at Turf Moor or 11/10 in the double chance market.

Interestingly, there were goals at both ends in the opening 45 minutes of last season’s meetings and that option is available at 17/4 in our Everton v Burnley betting tips.

The Blues have scored at least twice in every game this season and are 20/23 to do so again, but Burnley’s defence is one of the best around and they will be tough to break down.

The Lancastrians were the better team against Leeds and they could have record signing Maxwel Cornet available for Monday following his move from Lyon for a reported £13million.

In the yellow card market, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Richarlison have been booked twice in three games and they are 7/2 and 4/1 to be cautioned once again.

Talking Tactics

Benitez brought in former West Brom and Newcastle striker Salomon Rondon on transfer deadline day and the Spaniard is expected to welcome back several players from injury.

Seamus Coleman pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad with a hamstring injury he sustained against Azerbaijan, but Benitez is confident he will be available, while Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina could return.

Burnley could hand a debut to Cornet and Dyche is hopeful that centre-back Nathan Collins will be fit.

Goalscorer Odds

Calvert-Lewin is the 14/5 favourite to break the deadlock having scored twice this season, including the opener in a 2-2 draw with Leeds.

Demarai Gray also has two goals to his name and is 13/2 to draw first blood or 5/2 to score, while Richarlison is 5/1 and 2/1 in the same markets.

Clarets striker Chris Wood scored the opener against former club Leeds and is 5/1 to get the game’s first goal as he did in last season’s fixture or 15/8 to find the net as one of Monday’s Everton v Burnley betting tips.

Cornet, who can play as a winger or full-back, is 8/1 for a goal on his debut.
