Southampton v Man Utd betting tips, Premier League, football

It’s that time of the week again, we’ve got a bunch of Premier League fixtures to sink our teeth into, plus the restart of the Bundesliga and La Liga campaigns this weekend. Who will you pick?

With even more games to look forward to this weekend, we’ve highlighted five games to mull over when it comes to making your acca selections with us…

Manchester United v Crystal Palace (Sat, 17:30)

Premier League action returns to Old Trafford as Manchester United bid to kickstart their season with three points against Crystal Palace.

United have lost only one of their 22 top-flight meetings with Palace and will be targeting a top four spot once again under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils are 1/3 favourites to start their season with a win with over 2.5 goals 8/13.

The visitors got their season off to the perfect start with a 1-0 victory against Southampton and will be hoping to cause United problems. Palace are 9/1 underdogs with a draw 4/1.

Wilfred Zaha will look to haunt his former club and will be buoyed by his match winner last weekend. The winger is 9/2 to score anytime. Both teams to score is priced at Evens.

For United, Anthony Martial is 7/2 to score first with Bruno Fernandes 6/5 to find the net anytime.

Arsenal v West Ham United (Sat, 20:00)

We’ve picked out a London Derby! There’s a confident mood around the Emirates Stadium right now and we can see the Gunners giving the Hammers a headache this weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side dismantled a below-par Fulham last week with a platter of assists from new-man Willian. Arsenal are 8/15 to win having won ten of their last eleven home games against West Ham.

The ink has just about dried on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s new contract and the striker is 3/1 to celebrate his new deal with two or more goals. Willian is 23/10 to score anytime on his home debut.

There is a much darker mood around West Ham with off-field problems and a tricky run of fixtures to endure. David Moyes’ side will need to produce something special and they are 5/1 to win.

Chelsea v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30)

This one is close to call but we have stuck our neck out with 23/20 favourites Liverpool as they face a tricky trip to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are a 21/10 shot to win with a draw priced at 13/5. Both sides scored three or more goals in their opening fixtures and over 3.5 match goals is 6/4.

Timo Werner impressed at Brighton and he is 4/1 to score first and open his account for the Blues. Olivier Giroud has a formidable record against Liverpool and he is 7/4 to score anytime.

For Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is 6/1 to score two or more after his hat-trick last time out. Liverpool to win and both teams to score is 13/5.

Borussia Dortmund v Borussia Monchengladbach (Sat, 17:30)

We head over to Germany for our next pick as last season’s Bundesliga runners-up take on Borussia Monchengladbach at Signal Iduna Park in the opening round of fixtures.

BvB have won their last ten league matches against the visitors and we expect them to secure three more points here at 8/13. Die Fohlen are 19/5 to secure an away win with a draw 16/5.

Jadon Sancho is a player in demand having scored 17 goals and contributed 16 assists last season for Dortmund. The England winger is 5/4 to score anytime. Erling Braut Haaland is 11/4 to break the deadlock.

Both teams to score is 1/2 with both teams to score and Dortmund to win priced at 33/20.

Real Sociedad v Real Madrid (Sun, 20:00)

We round off the weekend with a visit to La Liga as Real Madrid begin their league title defence with a trip to Real Sociedad on Sunday night.

Los Blancos are 7/10 to get their season off to a winning start at the Anoeta. The hosts drew their opening match at Valladolid with one goal apiece. A draw against Madrid is 5/2 with both teams to score 4/6.

The La Liga champions are unbeaten in their last eleven opening league matches and it’s difficult to look past them here with Sociedad having won only two of their last thirteen home games against them.
