Bookies think future titles unlikely for Arsenal under Wenger

Arsene Wenger may remain in charge of Arsenal for another two years, but he’ll struggle to enjoy much more success if our latest odds are anything to go by.
It is understood that the French boss has agreed a two-year contract extension in North London, and 7/1 says he wins the Premier League one more time with the Gunners.
Though the #wengerout fans may not like it, the veteran gaffer is as short as 1/8 to still be in charge on the opening day of the 2018-19 season, making a shock exit midway through next campaign unlikely. In fact, we’re going 4/1 about Wenger walking at some stage next season.
And although Arsenal celebrated yet another Emirates FA Cup triumph last weekend, our odds-compilers can’t see much more success coming the way of Wenger’s Gunners any time soon.
It’s currently 25/1 for Arsenal to win two or more trophies in the 2017-18 campaign – that includes the Premier League, the Emirates FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Europa League.
Meanwhile, we’re going 300/1 about Arsenal winning any three of those aforementioned titles next season.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The waiting game looks to finally be over for Arsenal fans and it’s the ‘Wenger In’ brigade who’ll be cheering this summer. But as far as we’re concerned, it could be some time before Gooners are celebrating more cup glory and title triumphs.”
