Fulham v QPR: west London neighbours set for close encounter

Published:

Fulham host QPR this Monday evening with the Cottagers the 1/1 favourites – and it’s hard to see Harry Redknapp’s men upsetting those odds.

Fulham have been in very decent form in recent weeks and have lost just one of their previous six Premier League games.

That was a narrow 1-0 home defeat against Manchester United and since then they’ve gone four without loss.

Meanwhile, QPR have picked up points in recent games, winning against Southampton and Sunderland, but lost against Aston Villa in their last outing.

They are 13/5 to get a valuable three points against Martin Jol’s men but it’s tough to see the Hoops getting only their third away win in the Premier League this season.

If the 1/1 offered for the Fulham win doesn’t set your pulse racing, then a supplementary bet on a low-scoring affair looks the best way to cash in.

QPR have failed to score in over a quarter of their away games this term and Fulham haven’t exactly been smashing them in despite their very decent run.

They have scored just four in their last five Premier League games and only one of those matches has yielded more than one strike.

Under 2.5 goals is a pretty tasty 17/10, while a braver punter may be tempted by the 13/5 offered for under 1.5 strikes.

Finally, Dimitar Berbatov has bagged three goals in his last three outings for Fulham and the Belgian is 4/1 to score first.
