Hull City keen on late Deadline Day move for Brighton hitman

It’s been a difficult summer for Hull City, but there could be some light at the end of the tunnel tonight, with the Tigers leading the race to snap up highly-rated Brighton striker Tomer Hemed at 5/1.
Reports suggest that caretaker boss Mike Phelan Israeli keen on snapping up the Albion forward, who netted 17 times in last season’s Championship, with the Humberside club short on goals this year.
Having also played his part with a flurry of assists and neat link-up play to help the Seagulls reach the playoff semi-finals last season, there’s no doubt the Israel international would add quality to Hull’s style of play.
And the 29-year-old has proven he can cause problems for the best defences around, having masterminded Israel’s 3-1 demolition of Belgium in Euro 2016 qualifying, while he netted against the likes of Real Madrid and Sevilla during his time in La Liga.
With Transfermarkt.co.uk estimating his value at £2.13m, he’s certainly an affordable buy, especially with the Tigers having spent very modestly up to now, and would offer a good counterpart to the pacy but less experienced James Wilson.
Hull are next in action at Burnley, with Phelan’s men 23/10 for a third win at Turf Moor in the last decade.
