Newcastle v Man United Tips: Ole’s aces to make it four-in-a-row?

Paul Pogba - Man United

Manchester United are a team reborn under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, banging in 12 goals in three games since the Baby Faced Assassin took the job.

They visit a Newcastle side who beat them 1-0 at St James’ Park back in February 2018. But it’s been far from an ideal season for Rafa Benitez’s men, who’ll be desperate to grab a boost in their battle against the drop.

Ahead of this crunch Premier League clash on Tyneside, we’ve got the odds and info you need…

Match odds

The Red Devils have won five of the last eight head-to-heads, and with their form drastically improved under Solskjaer, they should be too strong for their struggling hosts.

In the Match Betting, Man United are firm favourites at 6/10. Meanwhile, it’s 29/10 for the Draw, and 9/2 for a home win.

Seven of the Old Trafford outfit’s last eight games have seen four or more goals scored, and another dose of Over 3.5 Goals is 19/10. As for a third 4-1 victory in eight games for Man United, that can be backed at a hefty 25/1.

Talking Tactics

Newcastle tend to opt for five at the back against the Prem’s top dogs. With Federico Fernandez battling to recover from injury, Fabian Schar could start at the back.

Up front, Solomon Rondon is likely to start. He’s scored five of the club’s 13 Prem goals this term, and is their biggest attacking threat by a country mile.

Solskjaer’s side have gone 4-2-3-1 in the last couple of games, and it’s done the business. Paul Pogba has been banging the goals in, and should start again in that attacking midfield trio.

Eric Bailly’s reckless red against AFC Bournemouth and Chris Smalling’s foot injury means Victor Lindelof could be joined by the always unpredictable Phil Jones at centre-back.

Goalscorer odds

After four goals in the last two games, Pogba is 9/5 to notch again. Meanwhile, the midfield maestro is 15/2 to bag Two or More Goals.

However, it’s Romelu Lukaku who’s bustled his way to the head of the betting. The Belgian bruiser is 11/8 Anytime.

Rondon is the most likely man to notch for the Magpies. As well as his recent good form, the 29-year-old has previous for scoring against United, doing so for West Brom in 2016. He’s 5/2 to strike again.
