Premier League 2020/21 fixtures: Champions Liverpool host Leeds United

Klopp - Liverpool

Champions Liverpool will face Championship winners Leeds United in the standout opening weekend fixture of the 2020-21 Premier League season.

Liverpool are 3/2 to retain their Premier League title, but after the refreshing form of Sheffield Utd last season, our traders have installed Leeds at 20/1 for a top four finish under Marcelo Bielsa.

The campaign is due to start the weekend of 12th September but both Burnley v Manchester United and Manchester City v Aston Villa will be rearranged, following the Manchester clubs’ recent European run.

In other notable opening weekend ties, Tottenham Hotspur host Everton, Sheffield United will meet Wolves and play-off winners Fulham entertain Arsenal at Craven Cottage.

Derby days

Some of the first matches both players and fans look for is derby day. Manchester United will re-new the rivalry with Leeds at Old Trafford on 19th December, while the return fixture at Elland Road is due for late April.

Elsewhere, the opening Merseyside derby of the season between Everton and Liverpool is set for 17th October. Can Toffees gaffer Carlo Ancelotti get one over on Jurgen Klopp and score a first win over the Reds since 2010?

The fiercely contested North London rivalry returns to battle in early December as Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal, the return fixture is set for 13th March at the Emirates Stadium.

We go 5/6 for Spurs to finish above their bitter rivals for a fifth-consecutive season, the same price the Gunners are to be celebrating St. Totteringham’s Day.

Man United versus Man City is another December fixture, while with City at Evens to win the Premier League, the game at the Etihad Stadium on 6th March could be pivotal.

There will be bragging rights in the Midlands this season too as Wolves and West Brom meet in the Black Country derby on 16th January and then in early May.

Boxing Day fixtures

The festive period is going to be another busy one with London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea locking horns.

Fulham, 4/6 to stay up, host Southampton, West Ham United entertain Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United play Everton.

After their final day Champions League decider last season, Leicester City welcome Man United to the King Power Stadium and Wolves take on Spurs.

Will Leeds be scrapping for points when they take on Burnley? Liverpool are at home to West Brom.

Final day

Top four finishes and relegation worries were still on the line last season, so what storylines will the final day bring this time?

Arsenal, who are 3/1 to finish in the Champions League positions, host Brighton. Chelsea travel to Aston Villa, with Wolves versus Man United and Leicester hosting Spurs.

In the 2018/19 season the title came down to the final day between City and Liverpool. This time, Pep Guardiola’s side take on Liverpool’s bitter rivals Everton, while the Reds have Crystal Palace.

West Brom are 8/11 to avoid relegation and they host fellow new-boys Leeds at the Hawthorns.

Elsewhere, it’s West Ham versus Southampton, Fulham versus Newcastle United and Sheffield Utd versus Burnley.

So there we have it, the stage is set for yet another Premier League season. How will your team fare?
