Slaven Bilic leads a four-horse Premier League Sack Race

Published:

West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic is favourite in the Premier League sack race.

After the Baggies’ defeat to Manchester United at the weekend, our traders have slashed odds to just 11/10 on Bilic being the first boss to be sent packing.

Elsewhere, United gaffer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains second-favourite for the boot at 7/4, despite winning back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder’s now just an 11/4 shot to be the first manager to be sacked after picking up just a single point from The Blades’ opening nine games. Fulham’s head honcho Scott Parker’s an unsurprising 4/1 shot, while every other name is currently 10/1 or bigger.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s a race no one wants to be leading, but Slaven Bilic’s struggling Baggies have put the boss in sackable territory, although three names are close behind as things stand.”

As Christmas looms could Bilic be the first Premier League manager to lose his job?
