Wilfried Bony evens to reach double figures in debut Stoke season

Published:

New Stoke City striker Wilfried Bony is evens to hit 10 or more Premier League goals this season with the Potters.

The Ivory Coast international has agreed a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, where hopes of a first-team spot under Pep Guardiola seem all but over.

Crystal Palace, West Ham and former club Swansea were all in the chase for Bony’s services this summer, but in the end Stoke have won the race.

With the creative talents of Marko Arnautovic, Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan to play alongside, Bony can thrive under Mark Hughes’ guidance this term.

It’s 8/11 Bony hits under 9.5 goals this term, but the evens on over 9.5 looks too good too ignore.

The bookies make it 50/1 the 27-year-old is this season’s top scorer, while 11/4 says Bony becomes an instant hero with a debut goal.

Stoke have never enjoyed the services of an out-and-out goalscorer in the Premier League, with Peter Crouch’s 14 goals in the 2011-2012 the highest thus far by a Potters striker.

With a wealth of attacking talent ready to supply him, Bony has every chance of smashing that target this season.

First up is the visit of Tottenham after the international break.

Stoke are 7/2 for their first three-point haul of the campaign, with Bony that aforementioned 11/4 to bag on his debut.
