Serie A betting tips: Leaders Napoli up against in-form Atalanta

Serie A betting tips and odds

It’s been a busy week in Serie A with a full round of fixtures spread over three days and the action shows no sign of abating this weekend.

Saturday’s final game is the highlight as leaders Napoli start as 5/4 favourites to get the better of fourth-placed Atalanta a few hours after Roma host champions Inter Milan.

We’re also previewing Sunday’s game between Juventus and Genoa in our Serie A betting tips, but get things started in Naples.

Napoli v Atalanta (Sat, 19.45)

Napoli put on a masterclass last weekend, crushing Lazio 4-0 despite the absence of key striker Victor Osimhen, a result which sent them three points clear at the top of the table after AC Milan lost at home to Sassuolo.

However, they threw away a two-goal lead at Sassuolo on Wednesday night in a 2-2 draw and now lead AC Milan by a single point.

Mario Pasalic, Atalanta, Serie A betting tips

Mario Pasalic scored a hat-trick in Tuesday’s 4-0 win against Venezia to help Atalanta secure a fourth successive victory and they are 2/1 to make it a nap hand as one of our Serie A betting tips.

Atalanta, unbeaten in eight, have had a mixed set of results against elite teams this season, beating Juventus, drawing 2-2 with Lazio and Inter Milan, but losing 3-2 to AC Milan.

A score draw is 3/1 and 2-2 can be backed at 10/1, while both teams to score, over 2.5 goals and either team to win – which was the case in both games last season – is 6/5.

Roma v Inter Milan (Sat, 17.00)

Third-placed Inter head to the capital unbeaten in 10 games following a 2-0 victory over Spezia and last month became the only team to beat Napoli this season.

Roma enjoyed a couple of wins against Genoa and Torino recently but Jose Mourinho’s side have taken just one point off the four teams they have met inside the top eight this season and lost 1-0 at Bologna on Wednesday, so we go 13/5 on the hosts winning on Saturday.

All three defeats to Lazio, Juventus and AC Milan came by one-goal margins, so Inter to win by that method is 11/4 or it’s 19/20 for a simple victory.

Strangely, this fixture has ended 2-2 in the last three seasons and a repeat in our Serie A betting tips is 10/1, while a sixth draw in seven between these teams is 13/5.

Juventus v Genoa (Sun, 19.45)

On Sunday, Juve entertain third-from-bottom Genoa who are winless in 13, but have drawn four of their last five.

Juve have won the last four meetings with Genoa, who scored on each occasion, so the hosts can be backed at 2/1 to win and concede.

The last three encounters were won by a 3-1 scoreline which is available at 9/1, although a victory and over 3.5 match goals is 19/10.

However, Juve’s last nine Serie A matches have involved three or fewer goals and with that in mind, Massimiliano Allegri’s side are 21/20 to win that way as the last of our Serie A betting tips.
