Tottenham transfers: Richarlison highlight of busy summer for Spurs
Tottenham transfers, departures and rumours
Tottenham squeezed into the top four last season thanks to a crucial victory against north London rivals Arsenal, who blew it completely at Newcastle four days later.
A crushing win against Norwich ensured Champions League football this season and they are 4/6 with Chelsea to finish in the top four once again after making several high-profile signings.
Head coach Antonio Conte made it clear he needed new recruits for the forthcoming campaign and Daniel Levy has delivered.
Ahead of the new season, we’re taking a look at the Tottenham transfers and departures, potential targets and the latest rumours, and some of their deals feature in our best transfers of the summer.
Who have Tottenham signed?
Richarlison is the biggest name to join Tottenham during the summer transfer following a £60million move from Everton.
The 25-year-old Brazilian will add further competition and depth to Tottenham’s attacking ranks, with Spurs having been keen to recruit a forward who could play right across the frontline for some time.
Richarlison notched 53 goals in 152 games in four years at Everton, joining the Toffees in 2018 after a year at Watford.

He told the club website: “When I arrived here it gave me a chill in my stomach to see my new team-mates and a new home. Now it’s about working with the great coach I have, with great team-mates too. I hope to make history here in this shirt.”
Richarlison was the fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Yves Bissouma, ex-Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic and goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
Mali midfielder Bissouma joined from Brighton on a four-year deal to provide competition for Pierre-Emile Hojberg and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Bissouma said: “It is my dream to play Champions League. When I was younger I remember watching the Champions League every day and I can’t believe to play Champions League for Spurs. I am so happy.”

Perisic played under Conte at the San Siro and can operate anywhere across the front line although last season he played at left wing-back from where he scored eight goals and provided seven assists with Inter.
The last of the Tottenham transfers so far has been the addition of France defender Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
Lenglet has made more than 100 appearances for Barcelona since joining the Catalan club in 2018 after a season at Sevilla and he has played 15 times for France.
Spurs’ summer spending spree went over the £100m mark with the £20m capture of right-wing-back Djed Spence from Middlesbrough following an excellent loan spell with Nottingham Forest last season.
Richarlison – (Everton – £60m)
Yves Bissouma (Brighton – £35m)
Ivan Perisic (Inter Milan – free)
Fraser Forster (Southampton – free)
Clement Lenglet (Barcelona – loan)
Djed Spence (Middlesbrough – £20m)
Who has left Tottenham?
The biggest departure has been Steven Bergwijn to Ajax for a reported £26m.
The 24-year-old attacker scored just eight goals in 83 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons with Spurs, just two more than he netted for Holland in the same period.
Winger Jack Clarke, who spent all three seasons at Spurs on loan, joined newly-promoted Championship club Sunderland in a four-year deal.
American centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers also left the club to sign for Scottish champions Celtic for an undisclosed fee.

Who have Tottenham been linked with?
The Roma winger could be involved in a swap deal with midfield outcast Tanguy Ndombele, who spent the second half of last season at his former club Lyon.
The Sevilla centre-back has been attracting attention from several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, but the France defender seems to be heading for Chelsea if the latest rumours are to be believed.
Who could be leaving Tottenham?
With Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon fighting it out at left wing-back, time seems up for Sergio Reguilon who has been linked with a move to Sevilla.
Midfielder Harry Winks also looks to be on his way out of the club amid interest from Everton and Southampton.
Emerson Royal’s future appears to be up in the air despite signing a five-year deal in 2021. Atletico Madrid have reportedly tabled an offer for the Brazilian right-back, while Ndombele is also another player likely to leave Spurs in the summer.
