Tottenham v Brentford betting tips: Bees could sting Spurs

| 30.11.2021

Preview and odds for Thursday’s match

It was grim up north for Spurs at the weekend but that should mean they are feeling fresh as we pick out some Tottenham v Brentford betting tips.

Heavy snow in Lancashire forced the postponement of their match at Burnley and Antonio Conte’s men have had to wait as they look to get last week’s Europa Conference League defeat out of their system.

Brentford make the short trip across London boosted by Sunday’s 1-0 win against Everton which lifted them seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Match Odds

Conte has quickly found out just how big a task he has on to take Spurs back to the top of the English game, especially after the eye-opening loss to Slovenian minnows NS Mura.

Although Tottenham travelled to Turf Moor at the weekend, Sunday’s postponement may have allowed Conte to spend more time on the training ground preparing for this match and Spurs are 4/6 for the win.

Brentford are 9/2 underdogs but are only three points behind their hosts with a much better goal difference so victory would see them leapfrog Spurs in the table.

Tottenham have only drawn one Premier League match this season and a second is 14/5 while Brentford are 5/4 to avoid defeat just as they have against the likes of Liverpool, West Ham and Arsenal this season.

Talking Tactics

Conte is one of the best tacticians and training ground coaches in the world but he insists hard work is the only solution to improve Tottenham’s recent fortunes.

He said recently: “The only magic I can do is to work. To bring work and work to improve, to bring my methods, my ideas of football.”

With the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Matt Doherty and Davinson Sanchez all having been long-term under-performers, Conte has limited options but Spurs must surely look to be more positive.

They have failed to score in five of their 12 league games and a clean sheet for the visitors is an option for Tottenham v Brentford betting tips at 9/2, while under 2.5 goals in the match is 20/23.

Goalscorer Odds

The only positive for Tottenham in last week’s European defeat was a goal for Harry Kane, which was his first for his club in seven matches.

The England captain has managed just one goal in the Premier League this season but is once again the favourite to score first at 13/5, 10/11 to double his tally for the campaign and 23/10 to score more goals than Brentford.

Bees striker Ivan Toney is in good form with two goals in the last two games with his penalty securing Sunday’s 1-0 win against Everton.

Toney is 14/5 to be on target again in Tottenham v Brentford betting tips while Kane and Toney both to score and the match to be a draw is 14/1 in the #GetAPrice odds.
