Without a winner so far at this year’s Festival you could perhaps be forgiven for swerving their charges for the remainder of the meeting.
But day three of a sizzling Glorious Goodwood looks set to bring a change in fortunes and a fascinating insight into next year’s 2000 Guineas.

Can IVAWOOD follow Highland Reel’s lead and further lay down his Classic credentials?
Having seen Aidan O’Brien’s colt win the Vintage Stakes so comfortably it’ll be interesting to see the response from Richard Hannon’s juvenile.
The July Stakes winner should take this ahead of the re-opposing Jungle Cat while the likes of Moonraker and Fox Trotter are making huge steps up in class.
There’s nothing quite like a patriotic punt and there will no doubt be plenty in the betting ring in Sussex who will be lumping on ESTIMATE.
The Queen’s horse is up against some seriously testing opposition in last year’s winner Brown Panther and the rejuvenated Cavalryman.
But the lightly-raced mare should have too much for the rest of the field over 2m although the progressive Northumberland Plate winner Angel Gabrial is an interesting challenger.
This renewal has thrown up plenty of big-priced winners in the past with the last three victors priced at 16/1, 12/1 and 20/1 respectively.
So, in that spirit we’ve opted for another unfancied charge to upset the odds.
Step forward WEAPON OF CHOICE. The Stuart Kittow-trained six-year-old has struggled for form since landing a Class 3 contest at Epsom last year.
But he wasn’t too far away in a decent handicap at Ascot last time out and this return to an ideal track and trip should suit.
Crack apprentice riders Cam Hardie and Oisin Murphy will appeal aboard George Cinq and Tigers Tale but our preference remains the same.
