Golf Majors schedule, key dates, venues, odds and favourites

The Masters (Winner: Rory McIlroy)

April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia

Eleven years after his last Major, McIlroy made golf history on Sunday by completing the career Grand Slam with a memorable victory at The Masters.

The Northern Irishman got the better of Justin Rose in a dramatic play-off after a topsy-turvy Sunday at Augusta and after finally getting that monkey off his back, the 35-year-old is eyeing up more success in 2025.

Ladbrokes are offering customers the chance to bet on how many Majors the Masters winner will win this year.

PGA Championship

May 15-18 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina

Next up on the calendar is the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As things stand, the bookies have placed McIlroy as joint favourite alongside his Green Jacket predecessor Scottie Scheffler, with last year's winner Xander Schauffele in the running alongside 2024 runner-up Bryson DeChambeau and Ludvig Aberg.

US Open

June 12-15 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania

The third Major of the 2025 calendar will see golfers head to Oakmont for the US Open for what is a record 10th time at the Pennsylvania club.

American DeChambeau will be looking to defend his title after edging out McIlroy by one stroke last year to win the tournament for the second time.

Again, it is Scheffler and McIlroy who are given the best chance by the bookies, with DeChambeau an outsider for a third title after his shaky final day at The Masters, though that could all change depending on how the next two months play out.

The Open

July 17-20 at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, Northern Ireland

McIlroy returns to his native Northern Ireland in July for The Open and is the current favourite to claim another victory at Royal Portrush.

The Northern Irish course will host the UK's most prestigious tournament for the first time since 2019, when Shane Lowry triumphed.

Usual suspects Scheffler, Schauffele and Aberg are in the running, with Spaniard John Rahm among the chasing pack and Lowry an outsider to defend his crown.

Ryder Cup

September 26-28 at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York

While technically not a Major, the Ryder Cup remains one of the top events fans look out for on the Golf calendar, particularly with it only being staged every two years.

It is Team USA's turn to host in 2025 with the prestigious team event being staged at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York.

Team Europe's 2023 triumph in Italy, coupled with their strong Masters which saw McIlroy and Justin Rose make up the top two and Aberg finish strongly, sees them edge Team USA in the bookies' favourites.
