Tuesday 21st April: What Sport is On?

| 20.04.2020

We’re all set for another action-packed day of sport from around the world on Tuesday, with Darts, Horse Racing and Golf all on the agenda.

Here’s what’s happening…

Horse Racing

There’s the usual fair of equine entertainment from across the globe, starting with cards from Australia and Japan in the early hours of the morning.

Then we move on to Sweden from 11:20, where an eight-race card from Boden precedes meetings at Alborg, Jagersro, Jarlsberg and Axevalla. Our traders have taken a look at the Scandinavian action here.

American Racing will take over from 19:15, with a 10-race card at Will Rogers Downs overlapping with a nine-race offering from Fonner Park, which begins at 22:00.

Coronavirus may have put a temporary stop to crowd participation at sporting events, but Darts fans are able to enjoy more arrows on their screens than ever before with four tournaments on Tuesday.

It begins with the Modus Icons of Darts League, featuring Paul Nicholson and Andy Jenkins, before moving on to the Modus Night at the Darts competition, with Wessel Nijman and Martin Adams.

Later, the PDC’s Home Tour will see Luke Humphries, Nick Kenny, Devon Petersen and Joe Murnan face off against each-other remotely in a round-robin format for the right to be crowned Group Five winners.

The newly-formed Remote Darts League will then carry the action forward from 21:30 until midnight.

There’s more action from the Outlaw Tour where 7/2 shot Dylan Wu will be looking to justify favouritism in the 36-hole Legacy Shootout, which gets underway at 19:00.

Wu has carded three top-ten finishes on The Korn Ferry Tour already this season but will face competition from Scotland’s Jimmy Gunn, who is a 7/1 price to win outright.

Our traders have priced up two more matches from the Magnus Carlsen Invitational at 15:00.

Maxime Vachier-Lagrave is the narrow 2/1 favourite to get the better of 5/2 shot Ian Nepomniachtchi, while Liren Ding is a heavy 13/8 favourite up against Fabiano Caruana, who is a 9/2 chance

We have action from six Esports leagues on Tuesday, with four battles from the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ESL Benelux Championship taking our interest.

In the opening two encounters, Tenerife Titans (1/7) and Reunie (1/5) are expected to make short work of One One Esport and myNEC, respectively.

After that, however, AMSTERDAM KINGS (1/2) versus LAMIF (3/2) and Sector One (1/2) against Sateliti (3/2) are expected to produce a pair of closer encounters.

What else is on?

The Armenian Snooker Championship continues with three more matches from 07:00, while Taiwan Beer take on Yulon Luxgen Dinos in the first game of the Taiwanese Super Basketball Finals.

Taiwan are 7/20 favourites to steal a first match advantage, with their opponents priced up at 15/8.
