Cayenne Pepper backed for Irish Oaks success

Cayenne Pepper is now the 13/8 favourite for the Irish Oaks having been as big as 3/1 two days ago with our traders.

The Jessica Harrington-trained filly is currently the clear favourite for the Curragh Classic after the withdrawal of both Fancy Blue and Peaceful from the final field.

Cayenne Pepper ran an excellent race in defeat behind Magical in the Pretty Polly Stakes in June. She is now the best backed runner after Fancy Blue was the Irish Oaks favourite earlier in the week.

Ennistymon (5/2) provides the strongest competition having chased home her esteemed stablemate Love in the Investec Oaks at Epsom on her last outing. She is joined by stablemate Snow (5/1) – winner of the Munster Oaks.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “With Fancy Blue and Peaceful doubtful all week, punters backed Cayenne Pepper early doors and she is the worst result in the book heading into Saturday.”
