Ascot 12.20 – Hidden Heroics

I think he will have a little chance in this maiden hurdle. He has to build on Wetherby obviously. It is a deep race, so I would say an each-way chance is more likely.

Ascot 12.55 – Faivoir

I think he will run very well in the Novices’ Handicap Chase. He emerged the best horse at the weights at Cheltenham even after hitting three out hard. I think this track will suit him. I give him a big chance.

Ascot 2.05 – Flegmatik

I have been waiting to go right-handed on a bit of ok ground and this ticks the boxes. The trip is fine, I like his mark, and he has got to be competitive.

Ascot 2.40 – Cabot Cliffs

He didn’t start last week the little rascal! So we are back out for another go. His handicap mark is fine, he ran nicely against four-year-olds at Chepstow, and we just need to get back out there with him.

Ascot 3.15 – Getaround

I think he has improved a lot for his first run. I would have loved it to have been softer ground but there is no rain in the next two weeks so we thought we might as well get on with it and find the slowest ground there is. They’re calling the ground good to soft, good in places, and that will be fine. No doubt though, he will get better as the ground gets softer.

Chepstow 1.45 – War Call

There is a horse in there called Chanceux who is the one to beat on numbers. We probably have a little chance. It’s not the deepest heat after those two.
