Dan Skelton previews Friday’s runners at Ascot and Uttoxeter
Ladbrokes ambassador Dan Skelton previews his runners at Ascot and Uttoxeter on Friday.
NEW TO Ladbrokes?
Ascot 1.45 – Fast Buck
It’s a big day for us at Ascot today and we kick off with Fast Buck here. I think he ran a lot better at Wetherby last time and I can see him running well here.
Ascot 2.20 – Elle Est Belle
She runs in a very good Grade 2 Novices’ Hurdle against Jonbon and the likes. She is a very good mare and even though she is taking on those big horses, I think she will go very well.
Ascot 2.55 – Faivoir
The Paul Nicholls-trained Pic D’Orhy, who fell last time, is ahead of us on ratings. However, our horse won at the track last time and I think he will go very well.
Ascot 3.30 – Doyouknowwhatimean & Riskintheground
I have two runners in the bumper; Doyouknowwhatimean and Riskintheground. They are proper nice jumpers. They have nice bumper form without winning.
I don’t necessarily think either of them can win a race like this at this moment in their life, but I expect them to run well. They are both nice horses.
Uttoxeter 12.50 – Hometown Hero
We have some younger and slightly greener horses going to Uttoxeter. We start with Hometown Hero. He is back from a long lay-off in a maiden hurdle. I think he will need the run.
Uttoxeter 12.50 – Night In Manhattan
Night In Manhattan runs in the same race as Hometown Hero. He is a very green horse and he will be better over fences in time.
Uttoxeter 3.10 – Greatest Star & Knotty Ash
Greatest Star looks fairly handicapped off the back of his win at Southwell the last day but this is slightly slower ground.
Knotty Ash is a three-year-old winner and getting all the allowances in this race but he’s just not had the form recently.
