Ghaiyyath now 5/4 for Juddmonte International victory

Published:

After storming to victory in the Coral-Eclipse last month, Ghaiyyath has been cut from 7/4 to just 5/4 to add the Juddmonte International Stakes to the trophy collection at York’s Ebor Festival.

Ghaiyyath beat the much-fancied Enable to seal victory at Sandown in July and is favourite ahead of Magical (7/20) and Lord North at 5/1 at York.

Elsewhere, Palace Pier looks like an intended runner for the Prix Jacques le Marois on Sunday and is now 6/4 favourite to triumph.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Although we have cut Ghaiyyath’s odds this morning, it feels like he could go off shorter again. Charlie Appleby is in flying form and without knowing what else will turn up, it’s no surprise to see he’s the only one punters want to back.”
