We’redelighted to be supporting the Virtual Grand National this Saturday, where allprofits from the race will be donated to the NHS Charities Together.

TheGrand National has always been dubbed as “the day the nation goes to thebookies”, but in the absence of the real event, the virtual race still allowsthe nation to come together and enjoy the experience.

With 40runners going to post, our traders are expecting a competitive showdown.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “This is a chance for the nation to come together and enjoy the Grand National experience in the absence of the real thing and to continue the tradition of having a fun flutter on the day.”

She added, “More importantly though, it is only fitting that all bookmaker profits on the race should go to the NHS for the heroic work they are doing during these difficult times. Given the popularity of the Grand National, we hope that the virtual version helps raise a significant sum of money for this wonderful cause.”

All bookmaker profits will be donated to NHS CharitiesTogether, in line with the industry-agreed policy. NHS Charities Togetherrepresents over 140 NHS charities, which collectively contribute £1 million aday to support the NHS’ work.
