There’s a plethora of Scandinavian action, withtrotting meetings from Sweden, Norway AND Denmark – one of the highlights beingan evening card from Jägersro where Austrian trottinglegend Peter Untersteiner is in action.

In the US there are two cards from Will Rogers Downs and Fonner Park which our trader Joe Klyne has taken a closer look at.

Will Rogers Downs

Floyd Wethey Jr has eight rides to his rival TyKennedy’s four at the Oklahoma track, they’ve ridden an equal number of winnersso far this season and top the standings there.

One horse that it is worth paying close attention to is Kiana’s Love in the first race (19.15). Trainer William Morey has an excellent record with horses coming into a race off the back of a win. It would be no surprise if this filly manages to chalk up another success in a similar race to the one, she won last time.

The slight drop in trip does pose a bit of aquestion. However, Ty Kennedy takes the ride and despite this being his firsttime partnering the four-year-old, he is just the man to get the jobdone.

There is one name on the card that should be familiar to most racing fans in the UK, in race two (19.45). Native River shares his name with Colin Tizzard’s Welsh National and Cheltenham Gold Cup winner.

Andy Gladd’s runner doesn’t have the accolades ofhis English counterpart but he’s no slouch around Will Rogers. And now havingdropped back into a more suitable grade than last time, he’ll go from the frontand look to make all in what should be an exciting race.

Ty Kennedy booked rides: Kiana’s Love (19.15), Texas Long Bow (20.15), Settle Down Eileen (22.45), Hot’n Notty (23.45)

Fonner Park

A later start at the Nebraska track could be worthwaiting up for. Veteran Armando Martinez is out in front in the jockey’schampionship at Fonner, but he’s closely pursued by rival Jake Olesiak.

Olesiak looks to have the better book of rides over the course of the evening and he’ll be hopeful of getting off the mark on either Emma’s Silver Rose (22.27) or Big Hearted Factor (23.48).

Digging a bit deeper, one of his more interestingrides at (potentially) a bigger price is Shady Lane in the eighth race (01.09). David Anderson is in excellentform, running at a 20% strike-rate this year, his filly has already notched up3 wins in 3 starts at Fonner.

This race is better than the one she won last time, but the speedy daughter of Top Hit could be hard to beat in her quest for afour-timer.

Jake Olesiak booked rides: Zibby Too (22.00), Emmas Silver Rose(22.27), Walker’s Bullet (22.54), Como Se Llama (23.21), Big Hearted Factor (23.48),Toccetta (00.15), Magnanimus Man (00.54), Shady Lane (01.09), Big Egypt (01.36)
