LADBROKES BRACED FOR BIGGEST TWO DAYS OF RACING SINCE LOCKDOWN

We’re braced for the biggest two days of racing since lockdown was lifted as the Derby, Oaks, and Coral-Eclipse all take place this weekend.

The Investec Derby is the biggest flat race of the season, while the Investec Oaks and the Coral-Eclipse are not too far behind in terms of public interest and betting turnover.

There’s an added element of excitement to this year’s action with two-time Derby winner Frankie Dettori riding two hot-favourites, and a second favourite.

In the Derby, Dettori is on board the 5/2 front-runner English King. He rides the odds-on 10/11 favourite, Enable, in the Coral-Eclipse, while he is on close second-favourite, Frankly Darling (2/1), in the Oaks. The treble works out at 20/1.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “It’s the most star-studded weekend of racing we have ever had, with three of the best races on the calendar taking place. Without a doubt, it will be the busiest two days of trading since lockdown was lifted and with a Frankie Dettori treble possibly on the cards, we are gearing up for a very intense and exciting weekend.”

Has that whet your appetite for Derby day?
