Paul Townend guides us through his rides at Tramore and Kilbeggan

I have six rides this weekend in Tramore and Kilbeggan.
My first ride is on Elusive Don (1.50) in Tramore. It’s a two mile handicap hurdle. He was a staying-on second on his last run here over two miles in a similar race so a reproduction of that run should put him there or thereabouts.
Next up is In A Pinch (3:00). It’s her first run back in a while but she won her first run last year. She looks versatile enough trip wise so if she is ready to fire she should put up a good account of herself.
My third ride is for Willie Mullins on Contingency (3.35). She ran a cracker in the big two-and-a-half mile handicap the last day at Punchestown when beaten by Mr Adjudicator.
Her best form seems to be a bit further but hopefully the fences can bring about a little bit of improvement in her. This race doesn’t look as stiff as that handicap hurdle in Punchestown so I hope she can get away with the drop back in trip.
On to Sunday, I ride Bluegrass Princess first (2.35) and she ran well behind Stratum at Ballinrobe earlier in the week. She has a bit to find with Gordon Elliott’s horse Sassy Yet Classy on ratings.
Dolly Dancer is an obvious danger as well who won very impressively at Tipperary.
I ride Pivotal Flame (3.10) next, who isn’t the most obvious one in the world. He has to improve on everything he’s done but we will be hoping for the best from him.
My last ride is on Robin De Carlow (4.20) . She gets the mares allowance and on her hurdle rating she has a big chance. She has to take on Cliff House here who is the obvious one.
He has run into a couple of very good horses in beginners chases without winning. He’s come out quickly after finishing second to Wicklow Brave the other day. It’ll depend what kind of mark that race has left on him.
As I said though our hurdle rating and mares allowance puts us right in the mix.
