Pyledriver now 4/1 for St Leger triumph

Pyledriver has had his odds slashed to just 4/1 to win the St. Leger after victory at York’s Ebor festival last week.

After victory in the Great Voltigeur Stakes, Pyledriver is now among the favourites to triumph at Doncaster next month.

Elsewhere, Benbatl and Regal Reality share the 9/4 favourites tag for the Ladbrokes Celebration Mile at Goodwood on Saturday.

Mohican Heights heads the market at 11/4 for the established St. Leger trial, the Ladbrokes March Stakes.

Ladbrokes’ John Lees said: “Willie Muir’s colt is piling the pressure on Aidan O’Brien’s two Derby winners at the head of the betting for the Doncaster Classic. Pyledriver halved in price after his York win and those odds have been cut in half again. Until O’Brien clarifies his St Leger plans, he is bound to be popular with punters.”
