Saint Sonnet 4/1 favourite for Paddy Power Gold Cup

Saint Sonnet is 4/1 favourite with our traders for the Paddy Power Gold Cup after there were 17 declarations for the feature race at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Harry Cobden will be on board hoping to ride clear from other contenders including Simply The Betts (5/1) and Mister Fisher (11/2).

Saint Sonnet joined the Paul Nicholls stable from France last season and the five-year-old got off to the perfect start with a long odds-on win at Catterick.

That was followed by a difficult run in the Marsh Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, finishing seventh behind Samcro after a stumble at the second last.
