The Summit 8/1 for French 2,000 Guineas; Victor Ludorum out to 4s

Thereturn of top level racing in France has produced some significant market movesin the betting for the French 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas, our traders can report.

Earthlight, who was scratched from the card at Longchamp today, has been installed as the new 7/2 favourite for the Poule d’Essai des Poulains following Victor Ludorum’s disappointing comeback run.

Group 1winner Victor Ludorum had been expected to make light work of the Prix deFontainebleau but was turned over at odds-on by The Summit at 28/1.

Andre Fabre’s runner has been eased to 4/1 for the Poule d’Essai des Poulains (French 2,000 Guineas) as a result, while The Summit and runner-up Ecrivain earning quotes of 8/1 for the contest.

Elsewhere, Tropbeauremains the hot favourite for the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches after edgingout Dream And Do in the Prix de la Grotte.

Another for that man Fabre, the filly is now 2/1 from 5/2 for the French 1,000 Guineas, with Dream And Do further back at 8/1.
