I’m A Celebrity: Gemma Collins bites the dust as X Factor star looms
Published:
Towie star Gemma Collins is trending worldwide on twitter as a result of her I’m A Celebrity antics but not in a way she – or show producers – would have liked.
The normally bubbly blonde brought two days of moaning to a close last night after walking away from the jungle’s Celebrity Slammer after claiming the show was simply too demanding.
Collins had hoped to lose weight and find love while in taking part in the competition and while daily rations of porridge may have helped with the former, being banged up with Nadia Forde and Craig Charles did little to make the latter a reality.
X Factor flop Jake Quickenden looks most likely to replace the Essex girl after being spotted at a hotel in Australia yesterday.
And while the ‘singer’ is used to rejection after being booted off the talent show in the early stages, Ladbrokes feel he may have a chance in the jungle, pricing him up at 20/1 to win the show outright.
This would instantly put him ahead of newsreader Michael Buerk, actress Vicki Michelle and former Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson in the betting and the some-time model would surely pick up a healthy portion of the female votes.
Any stripping and bushstucker trial success could prove fruitless, however, with Jimmy Bullard and Melanie Sykes still very much at the head of the market.
Bullard is the market leader at 9/4 after entertaining viewers in the Tunnel of Terror challenge, while Sykes is priced at 5/2 after showing her bravery on day one!
Tinchy Stryder will be seen taking part in a Chamber of Horrors challenge tonight, and while his price dropped from 8/1 to 7/1 overnight it could pay to back the pint-sized rapper now in case he impresses in the trial and his price disappears completely.
