In-form David Ferrer and Kei Nishikori given ATP Finals boost
Published:
With the ATP Finals getting underway this weekend at London’s O2 Arena, Ladbrokes are getting right into the action ahead of the season-ending contest.
Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal received the boosting treatment yesterday, and today it’s the turn of another Spaniard and a Japanese star.
These prices are available online, on tablet and on mobile and though the pair seem outsiders, there is plenty of reason to back them.
This year David Ferrer has enjoyed his best season since 2012, claiming five titles.
More importantly, four of those have come on the hard courts, and the Spaniard is in hot-form right now after winning the Malaysian and Vienna Opens in recent weeks.
As for Kei Nishikori, well he may not have shone at the Slams, with just a pair of quarter-final appearances to his name, but the 25-year-old has still enjoyed a solid year on tour.
The Japanese has won three titles this season, including two on the hard surface while also reaching the Mexican Open final where he lost to, yep, Ferrer.
You only need to go back to Nikolay Davydenko in 2009 or David Nalbandian four years prior to see that the big four don’t always dominate at the season conclusion.
