Inconsistent Swans head to flying Watford to cure winless away run

Published:

Brendan Rodgers will hope that a return to one of his former clubs in Watford will help Swansea collect their first away Championship point of the season.

Swansea have been invincible at home in the Championship with a 100 per cent winning record at the Liberty Stadium, but have the complete opposite record on the road with four straight defeats.

They won 1-0 away last season and are 23/10 to beat Watford again, while the home side are 6/5 to extend their Championship winning run to four straight matches.

Danny Graham has scored four times in these three victories and is 9/2 to strike first, while Scott Sinclair has been in good form for Swansea and is 6/1 to break the deadlock.

Ipswich are one of just three Championship teams who are still unbeaten away from home and this is a record they will be looking to extend when heading to Reading.

Like Watford and Swansea, both are situated in the top half of the Championship table, with Ipswich priced at 11/5 to beat Reading.

However, three of the last five meetings between the pair at Reading have ended 1-1 and it is 11/2 that this is repeated.

The next round of Championship fixtures also pits two of the teams that were relegated from the Premier League during the last campaign against each other as Burnley entertain Hull.

Burnley won 2-0 in the meeting at Turf Moor and are 10/11 to collect the three points again.

Graham Alexander scored both goals in the win and is 16/1 to score first, while Chris Iwelumo has netted five times in eight league outings and is 9/2 to be the first goalscorer.

Burnley are 12/1 to make a quick return to the Premier League by winning the Championship. See the complete Championship winners betting odds market.
