ODDS SLASHED ON LEE CARSLEY BEING NAMED NEW IRELAND BOSS
Lee Carsley is now the standout favourite to replace Stephen Kenny as Republic of Ireland manager, according to Ladbrokes.
Following reports that Carsley could be offered Irish football’s top job this week, the bookies have been forced to slash the odds to 1/3 from 7/4 that he will become the new Boys in Green boss.
Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is second in the pecking order at 9/2, while Ireland legend Roy Keane is now 10/1 from 20/1 after he expressed interest in the job.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: Despite a wave of interest in Roy Keane, all signs point towards Lee Carsley taking over as the new Ireland manager. He is now as short as 1/3 for the job, with betting on the verge of being suspended.”

14/1 Anthony Barry
25/1 Chris Coleman
