It's all about boxing this weekend, with Ladbrokes looking at the latest betting odds and predictions ahead of Jake Paul v Mike Tyson on Netflix on Saturday.

For the first time since 2005, Mike Tyson, one of boxing's most legendary and polarising figures steps into the ring for a fight against social media megastar-turned-boxer, Jake Paul.

Tyson in his prime would have wiped the floor with Paul, but given that the boxing icon is now approaching 60, over 30 years younger than his opponent, the fight may be a lot closer than many are expecting.

So, with all that said, Ladbrokes previews the fight between Paul and Tyson this weekend, looking at the betting odds and giving our predictions.

Jake Paul v Mike Tyson preview

The fight between Paul and Tyson was originally scheduled for July 2024, but will now be taking place this weekend on November 16 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas and being broadcast worldwide live on Netflix.

Tyson is stepping into the right for his first fight in 19 years, standing across from Jake Paul, who has proved himself to be a capable fighter in his own right, with a record of 10-1 in his professional career.

The Netflix broadcast begins on at 01:00 GMT on Sunday here in the UK (20:00 EST), with Paul and Tyson's ring walks expected to commence around three hours later.

No one really knows what to expect from the fight, which is the latest in a trend of boxing icons sharing the ring with social media stars, as was seen with Jake's older brother Logan Paul and his fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2021.

Jake Paul v Mike Tyson winner odds

Mike Tyson is proving far more popular than Jake Paul ahead of one of the most-anticipated fights of the year, according to Ladbrokes.

The ‘Problem Child’ has been chalked up as the 4/7 favourite, but 70% of punters are backing Tyson to come out on top. Many are backing Tyson to win by KO at 9/4, but the odds suggest Paul will get there first at 6/4.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “It may not be one for the purists, but this fight is turning into one of the biggest betting bouts of the year. Jake Paul is favourite, but the money suggests Mike Tyson will be rolling back the years with a KO victory.”

As for bets on the method of victory, Paul is at 6/4 to win via KO, TKO or DQ, whilst at 3/1 to have his hand raised through a decision or technical decision.

As for Tyson, he's 9/4 to win things by KO, TKO or DQ, and 8/1 to win via decision or technical decision, with that outcome being seen as more likely than a draw.

Jake Paul v Mike Tyson prediction

It may be the longshot outcome according to the odds, but we're going with a draw as the outcome of the fight between Paul and Tyson this weekend, as sometimes tends to be the case with these types of exhibition fights.

Tyson hasn't fought in just shy of 20 years, so no one knows the state he's going to come into this fight in. He's 58 now, so he's most certainly out of his prime, but Tyson seems to be in very good shape, so could use his experience and power to take the fight to the favourite.

Paul is a tremendous athlete who almost certainly has age on his side. However, with just 11 professional fights to his name, he certainly goes into the fight with Tyson with less ring IQ and experience.

This fight really could go either way, so for a longshot punt, we're going with the outcome being a draw in Texas, potentially opening the door to another fight (or two) happening later down the line.
