Jeremy Corbyn - Labour conference

Following the resignation of seven MPs on Monday, our traders have priced up Jeremy Corbyn’s chances of being replaced as Leader of the Labour Party this year.

With more MPs rumoured to be considering leaving Labour, he’s now 9/4 to go by the end of the year.

If Corbyn is replaced, our traders have Emily Thornberry as the front-runner to take over. The Shadow Foreign Secretary is 6/1 to get the gig.

Keir Starmer isn’t far behind at 8/1, with Angela Rayner third as a 10/1 shot.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “In what we’re expecting to be one of the biggest years of political betting, we could well see a huge shake-up in the Labour Party if the latest odds are anything to go by.”
