Juventus incredible value for third straight Scudetto
Published:At odds-against, Juventus must be lumped on to win next season’s Serie A.
The reigning Italian champions proved last term they were clearly stronger than any of their competitors, cruising to claim a 29th Scudetto without being as strong as they were in the previous campaign. They’re 21/20 to string a hat-trick of titles together.
The arrival of Rafa Benitez at 17/2-rated Napoli, who finished last season as runners up, is soon to be negated by the imminent departure of Uruguayan goal machine Edinson Cavani.
Whilst they have made off-the-pitch improvements in drafting in a coach with a glittering record, ultimately, they’ll be significantly weaker on the pitch without Cavani.
Their aim will be consolidation in the top three, not to win the title.
AC Milan are ranked as second favourites behind the Old Lady, but their 3/1 price is far too short.
They markedly improved in the second half of the previous campaign to snatch a final day Champions League berth in dramatic fashion and a full season with Mario Balotelli spear-heading their attack will benefit them too.
However, they’re making noises about shipping out star youngster Stephan El Shaarawy (who struggled to link up with Balotelli following his January arrival), they’re also lacking in the midfield department. They can’t match up to Juventus, Napoli, or even chasing sides like Lazio and Fiorentina either in this respect.
Even La Viola are facing up to the prospect of losing their best player, with Montengrin Stevan Jovetic on the way out.
Unlike all of these teams, Juventus are actively seeking to add quality to their ranks and have already snapped up valuable freebie Fernando Llorente from Atletic Bilbao. While their rivals diminish in their playing prowess, Juve are heading in the opposite direction and this is what makes them the best value league winner bet across the whole continent.
