KP odds-on to hit 50
Published:Kevin Pietersen is odds-on (8/13) with Ladbrokes to hit 50 or more runs against Holland on Tuesday.
England go into the game as 1/25 favourites with the Dutch priced at 9/1 to pull off their second World Cup shock against England.
Their hopes of causing an upset rest largely on all rounder Ten Doeschate who is 3/1 to score 50 plus runs in the game.
England are also favoured to hit more boundaries at 2/9 than Holland (3/1).
England have also been the subject of some support for the World Cup over the weekend with the firm cutting their price a point into 8/1 from 9/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We expect KP to get off the mark with a decent knock to help England to what ought to be a routine win against the Dutch. Perhaps news of his return to the top order has inspired punters as we’ve seen some money for England over the weekend.”
