Ladbrokes SPFL: Big games loom up and down the leagues
Published:
After a combination of cup ties and the weather drastically reducing the Ladbrokes SPFL action last weekend, all 42 teams are raring to go this time around.
There are huge games up and down the leagues this weekend, including second versus third in the Championship and first versus second in League 1.
Here’s your preview of Saturday’s action…
Ladbrokes Championship
There are big contests at both ends of Scotland’s second tier this weekend, with Hibernian 11/20 to win a ninth game in a row when they host similarly in-form Falkirk at Easter Road.
Morton have picked up 13 points from a possible 15 but odds of 13/1 suggest that run might end when they head to Rangers at Ibrox.
At the bottom, managerless Alloa are 19/5 to claim a much-needed win at Livingston while Dumbarton are 27/20 to claim a second successive victory against out-of-sorts St Mirren.
Ladbrokes League 1
Ayr and Dunfermline have left the chasing pack far behind and it’s the Pars who are 11/10 favourites for this table-topping clash at Somerset Park, with the hosts 37/20.
In-form Peterhead look value at 23/20 to win at league-propping Brechin, while Aidrieonians are 3/2 to take advantage of Stranraer’s home difficulties by grabbing three points.
Elsewhere Forfar seek a first win in 11 league games when they meet Cowdenbeath, and Stenhousemuir look to continue their good run when they host Albion.
Ladbrokes League 2
Just 12 points covers the entire division in what is proving to be a highly-competitive season. League leaders Annan aim to extend their two-point advantage when they host East Stirling, who are yet to win on the road this term.
Clyde could go top by Saturday evening, should they win a fourth game in a row and results elsewhere go their way. They’re evens to beat East Fife, who themselves could jump from fifth to third.
Berwick will be eager to end a run of four straight losses and they’re 8/5 to see off inconsistent Elgin.
