With the January transfer window having opened this month, Ladbrokes takes you through the hottest transfer rumours for each of the Premier League clubs.

The transfer window is the most exciting time of the year, and after a rough start to the season for a few Premier League clubs, teams in England are expected to make major additions to help turn things around.

With the 24/25 season now firmly underway, which Liverpool, are the favourites to win for the first time since 2020, Ladbrokes takes you through the hottest transfer rumours for each club.

Premier League transfer rumours

Arsenal

Arsenal are considering making moves for both Xavi Simons (one for the summer) and Martin Zubimendi, although they face competition from Liverpool for both players. The club are also weighing up a free transfer for Dominic Calvert-Lewin when his contract expires in July 2025 and considering a loan move for Evan Ferguson.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa are internally speaking about whether or not to test AC Milan with a cut-price offer for Fikayo Tomori. Donyell Malen has agreed to join Unai Emery's side from Dortmund, but the two clubs are still some way apart on a financial agreement.

Bournemouth

Whilst not something that's active for January, Bournemouth are one of several Premier League clubs interested in Liverpool back-up goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, and a move over the summer could be on the cards.

Brentford

Brentford are tracking Fabio Silva from Wolves. The striker is spending the season on loan in Spain with Las Palmas and is finally starting to show why he cost nearly £40m in 2020. The Bees are also weighing up a January move for Genoa's Morten Frendrup, who has long been one of the Serie A players tipped for a Premier League move.

Brighton

Not an incoming but a rather notable outgoing, Brighton are willing to let Ferguson leave on a loan deal in January, with the Irishman struggling for regular first team football this season and Arsenal one of several clubs interested. The Seagulls did meet the agent of Flamengo's Matheus Goncalves in late-November to discuss a move to the Premier League, so it's not all quiet with regards to signings.

Chelsea

Chelsea are closely monitoring Victor Osimhen's situation, with the Nigerian striker believed to have a January break clause in his loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray. Benoit Badiashile may be on his way out though, with Chelsea said to be willing to cut their loses with the ex-Monaco defender. Franco Mastantuono is also of interest, but River Plate know that Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid also want the player.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace face competition from Nottingham Forest for the signing of Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli, with a bid of around £20m believed to be enough to bring the Italian to the Premier League next month. James McAtee is also of interest to Palce, with many Man City fans disappointed that the youngster hasn't been afforded more minutes by Pep Guardiola this season.

Everton

Things may be quiet for Everton in January, with Sean Dyche telling the media last month that any dealing this month will be dependant on the club's PSR situation.

Fulham

Fulham have been rather impressive in the Premier League so far this season, and one of the signings they want to make in January to continue that good form is a loan move for Chelsea's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with the ex-Leicester star barely featuring in the Premier League since moving to Stamford Bridge over the summer. The club will want to keep hold of Bernd Leno too, with Tottenham one of several clubs interested in the German shot-stopper.

Ipswich Town

Despite only signing him in the summer, Ipswich are going to have to work hard to retain Liam Delap, with Tottenham the favourites for the striker's signature, ahead of the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Man City, the latter of which is actually the young striker's former club. Should Delap leave, Ipswich are being tipped with a move for West Ham's Danny Ings.

Leicester

Leicester have Jamie Vardy up top, and Patson Daka scored in Ruud van Nistelrooy's first game in charge, but the club are still in the market for a striker this January and have earmarked Ferguson from Brighton as the ideal loan signing. Sean Longstaff from Newcastle is another playing being tipped for a potential move to the Foxes mid-way through the 24/25 season.

Liverpool

Liverpool is expected to be quiet for the Reds this January, with Sporting Director Richard Hughes far more focused on signing Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold, all of whom are out of contract at the end of the season, to new deals. However, the club are still interested in Martin Zubimendi, with the Real Sociedad midfielder believed to be regretting this decision to reject a move to Liverpool this summer. Speaking of Trent, Liverpool already rejected a bid from Real Madrid for the right-back, with another expected to come in soon.

Man City

With Rodri out injured until the summer of 2025, Man City are also considering paying Zubimendi's release clause, with the Real Sociedad midfielder one of the defensive midfielders Pep Guardiola and co are eyeing up. Atalanta midfielder Ederson is also of interest to the club, as is Samuele Ricci of Torino.

Man United

Man United are considering moving in for Christopher Nkunku, who has found game time hard to come buy this season under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea. Viktor Gyokores could also join the club, following new head coach Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester.

Newcastle

Newcastle could look to capitalise on Lyon's financial troubles by submitting an official bid for Rayan Cherki. Antoine Semenyo is another playing the Geordies are closely monitoring, but a summer move is seen as more likely than a January transfer for the Bournemouth winger. However, Eddie Howe has suggested that business in January will be limited, and dependant on outgoings.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have decided on defender Moussa Ndiaye as a priority target for January, but Nuno Espirito Santo's club will face stiff competition from several other teams for the Anderlecht defender. Ferguson of Brighton is also of interest, but Forest are said to be more interested in a permanent move instead of a loan deal.

Southampton

Southampton are one of several clubs looking at Sverre Halseth Nypan from Rosenborg. 'The next Martin Odegaard' is incredibly highly-rated within the game though, so a deal isn't going to be the easiest for the Saints to complete.

Tottenham

Tijjani Reijnders who is having a top season at AC Milan is of interest to Spurs, with Fagioli of Juventus and Ederson of Atalanta both also targets for the midfield position. Tottenham have also been given the opportunity to sign Jonathan Tah, with the Bayer Leverkusen defender able to leave on a free transfer when his current deal expires at the end of June, but a move for the German to Barcelona seems more likely.

West Ham

West Ham are considering Graham Potter as their next boss should they move to sack Julen Lopetegui. On the player front, Patrick Dorgu is a player of interest, but Napoli are believed to be front-runners in the pursuit of the talented Danish left-back. A striker is also a priority, with Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen both out with injuries.

Wolves

The aim for Wolves will be to make additions to the squad to keep them in the Premier League, with Wataru Endo of Liverpool, Gustavo Hamer of Sheffield United and Daniel Ballard from Sunderland three of the players they've earmarked as having the potential to help them do that.
