Man City v Inter Milan betting tips: Champions League final preview
Manchester City won the domestic double at the weekend and can complete the Treble by defeating Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul on Saturday.
City added the FA Cup to the Premier League title with a 2-1 victory over arch rivals Manchester United and aim to repeat the Red Devils’ Treble success of 1998-99 by finally getting their hands on the biggest trophy in European club football.
Pep Guardiola’s side are 4/9 favourites to win inside 90 minutes or 2/11 to lift the trophy as we look at some of the other markets to help with our Man City v Inter Milan betting tips. You can look at some of the key stats ahead of the final and some of Inter Milan’s main players by clicking on the links.
Champions League is missing link for City
Guardiola has won 11 trophies during his spell with City but the only one that is missing is the Champions League, although they went close two years ago when they lost to Chelsea in the final.
City remain unbeaten in this season’s competition, finishing top of a group comprising Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and FC Copenhagen with four victories before Erling Haaland scored five goals in a 7-0 second-leg win against RB Leipzig in the round of 16.
Haaland was on target in both legs of City’s 4-1 aggregate win against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals which City followed with a stunning 4-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Etihad to seal their place in the final.
Inter, meanwhile, lost 2-0 in both group games against Bayern Munich, but took four points off Barcelona to reach the knockout stage where they beat Porto, Benfica and arch rivals Milan to seal their first Champions League final appearance since they won the competition under Jose Mourinho 13 years ago.

The Italians, like City, won their domestic cup competition, but finished a distant third to champions Napoli in Serie A to ensure Champions League football next season and are 6/1 to lift the trophy inside 90 minutes.
Inter finished the Serie A season strongly, though, with seven wins and just one defeat by Napoli, but despite having the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, Romelu Lukaku, Marcelo Brozovic and Denzel Dumfries in their squad, they should not be able to light a candle against a City side described by head coach Simone Inzaghi as “the strongest team in the world”.
City scored 17 goals in their three two-legged knockout ties against opponents much more difficult than those faced by Inter, who needed an 86th-minute goal from Lukaku to see off Porto 1-0 over two games in the round of 16.
Inter kept clean sheets in five of their six knockout games, but they will do well to repeat the trick against a City team that scored 94 top-flight goals this season, 36 of which came from Haaland, who broke the record for most goals in a single campaign.

That said, the last three Champions League finals have been won by 1-0 scorelines and Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0 in the season before that, so perhaps we should not expect a goal fest.
With that in mind, the Premier League champions to win and under 3.5 goals at 6/5 is the first of our Man City v Inter Milan betting tips.
Haaland is the top scorer in the tournament with 12 and is 8/15 to get on the scoresheet at any time, but he has only found the net once in his last seven matches, so it may pay dividends to look elsewhere in this market.
That man may well be skipper Ilkay Gundogan who scored the quickest FA Cup final goal in history after just 12 seconds on Saturday and added a second with another volley after the break.

That was the third game in six the German midfielder had bagged a double and although it’s probably stretching it for him to repeat the trick at 16/1, getting on the scoresheet again does not look beyond him at 14/5.
Of the outsiders, Rodri looks excellent value at 8/1 in our Man City v Inter Milan betting tips bearing in mind he takes an average of 1.5 shots in Champions League games.
The Spaniard scored the opening goal in the 3-0 win against Bayern and is a certain starter on Saturday when he is also 18/1 to break the deadlock.

The last of our Champions League final tips is for City to be in front after half an hour at 8/5.
Guardiola’s side scored 26 of their 94 goals before 30 minutes in the Premier League, conceding just five times, and were ahead in four of their six Chanpions League knockout ties by that stage.
They are a team that likes to get on the front foot and an earlyish goal looks on the cards in Turkey.
