Mike Dean 3/1 to not referee another Man United game this season
Published:
Mike Dean may have refereed his last Manchester United match of the season, according to the latest odds.
After a controversial dismissal of West Ham’s Sofiane Feghouli, we make it just 3/1 that Dean doesn’t officiate another United match in 2016-17.
The 48-year-old has dished out more penalties and red cards than any other man in black this season, and it’s just 2/1 Dean racks up 10 red cards before the campaign is over.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “They say that if a referee isn’t spoken about then they’ve done a good job.
“That would suggest few are pleased with card-happy Dean, who is maybe enjoying the spotlight a little too much.”
Fans and pundits alike had their say following Dean’s latest moment of debate.
Sky sports commentator Niall Quinn called the decision ‘rank-bad’, while Gary Lineker wasn’t holding back either…
That is an absurd red card. Ridiculous decision. Mike Dean has dropped a real Feghouli.

Gary Neville, Martin Keown and Alan Smith are just three others who have also disagreed with Feghouli’s dismissal.
