Murray and Tsonga can upset odds at ATP World Tour Finals

Andy Murray is the value call in his ATP World Tour Finals clash with Novak Djokovic, but in a match that really could go either way, the better option may come in the total games market.

Murray and Djokovic are virtually impossible to separate, winning three each of their six meetings in 2012 and this is surely the hottest rivalry in tennis right now.

With home advantage in London, this may be enough to give Murray the smallest advantage and in a 50/50 showdown, 11/10 looks a decent price.

In Djokovic’s favour, he has won three of the last five meetings on hard courts and can be backed at 8/11 to maintain his 100 per cent record at the tournament, with the winner pretty much assured of a place in the semi finals.

The last three matches between the pair have covered a handicap of 21.5 games, alongside Murray’s opener in London.

This may prove the better bet here at 4/9 in a match that has to be tight.

The other Group A encounter pits Tomas Berdych against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, with the loser almost certain to be out of the tournament.

Both reached the semi finals 12 months ago in the ATP World Tour Finals, with Tsonga prevailing before losing to Roger Federer.

But it is Berdych that has had the better of it this year, winning both meetings between the pair. He is the 8/13 favourite here.

Tsonga may be the underdog at 5/4, yet reached the final last year after losing a first group game and can take the first step towards repeating this feat here.
