Ferguson third favourite in next Everton manager odds
Everton are searching for a new manager after Frank Lampard was sacked less than a year after his appointment.
Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at relegation rivals West Ham left the Toffees in 19th place and only off the bottom of the table on goal difference.
Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche was the early favourite to replace Lampard at Goodison Park, but has since been replaced by ex-Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Marcelo Bielsa
The Argentinian veteran got Leeds back into the Premier League but was sacked with the club threatened by relegation.
The time needed to implement his unique coaching methods and high-pressing style of play would count against him making an immediate impact.
Sean Dyche
Dyche has been out of work since his near decade-long stay at Burnley ended in April.

The 51-year-old is well versed in surviving relegation battles and his common-sense approach and hard-working style might be what Everton need – but he is unlikely to be a popular choice among fans.
Wayne Rooney
A return to his boyhood club for the former Toffees academy graduate would be the romantic option and get the fans’ backing but his managerial credentials are still untested at the highest level having been relegated from the Championship with financially-stricken Derby.

Currently in charge of MLS side DC United but that would not be a barrier.
David Moyes
The former Toffees boss, a particular favourite of chairman Bill Kenwright, has had his name on the list of potential candidates a couple of times since leaving in 2013 after 11 years of relative success.

His position at West Ham has been questioned and unless he is sacked in the near future it would be a surprise to see him swap the squad and resources he has available in London for a sentimental return to Goodison.
Nuno Espirito Santo
Nuno is the manager of Saudi Professional League club Al-Ittihad but would relish a return to the Premier League.
Had some success with Wolves before performances started to tail off but failed at Tottenham. His ‘solid’ brand of football would not be universally popular.
Best of the rest
Thomas Frank has enjoyed remarkable success on a limited budget at Brentford, but he has built an excellent squad over more than four years in the role. One for the long term, but is available at 14/1.
Domenico Tedesco is 16/1 won the German Cup during one season with RB Leipzig but was sacked in September last year after a disappointing start to the season.
The stock of Ange Postecoglou is rising by the week and the Celtic boss is 20/1 to become the Blues boss, the same price as the man universally known for rescuing clubs in crisis – Sam Allardyce.
