NFL Acca: Cardinals Lions and Ravens form heavy treble
Published:
It’s Sunday, which can mean only one thing in America: it’s NFL day. Although for the third and final time this season NFL Sunday’s stretch all the way to Wembley, where the Detriot Lions take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Lions are among Ladbrokes News’ week eight picks and our treble this time around pays £64 to a £10 stake.
Read on below to find out our selections and reasons behind them:
Detroit Lions (+3.0) to beat the Kansas City Chiefs @ 1/1
Wembley won’t be showcasing two of the better NFL teams in its final foray as pigskin hosts, with the Lions a dismal 1-6 and the Chiefs marginally better at 2-5.
It’s the Lions that are taken to cover a small spread, thanks to a raft of offensive coaching changes and a pleasing recent memory of London outings.
Jim Bob Cooter is the new Lions offensive coordinator and can inspire an improved performance with the ball. The last time the Lions were here they roared back from 21-0 down at halftime to beat the Atlanta Falcons.
Arizona Cardinals (-6) to beat Cleveland Browns @ 20/21
The Cardinals are enjoying life far more than the Browns this season and with a potent offense can overcome the spread here.
Arizona ranks inside the top 10 for both passing yards and rushing yards per game and will have too much a Browns defense that is mediocre against the pass and dire on the ground.
Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) to beat San Diego Chargers @ 10/11
One of these two will lose for the fourth straight game and despite their mighty passing game, it’s pegged to be the Chargers.
For all their league-leading stats through the air though, their defense has proved porous this season and the Ravens, just like the Oakland Raiders last week, can redirect a sorry season by taking advantage of that.
