NFL Acca: Seattle Seahawks peaking at the right time

Published:

It’s another week of NFL action as the postseason comes haring into view on the horizon and Ladbrokes News has yet another fourfold to peruse.

This week’s effort pays £43.90 to a £10 stake, but if that doesn’t take your fancy then check out Ladbrokes’ Double Odds 1st Touchdown Scorer offer, which has recently paid out on Rob Gronkowski and Eddie Lacy:

Carolina Panthers to beat Atlanta Falcons @ 1/4

Since a 5-0 start that had the Falcons sitting pretty at the start of the season, Atlanta’s wheels have fallen off to dramatic effect.

The club have since lost six of their next seven games to fall out of the playoff spots and should endure more pain against the undefeated Panthers.

Carolina has won 16 consecutive regular season games dating back to last season and should keep that streak alive against a Falcons unit that has dropped five on the bounce.

Detroit Lions to beat St Louis Rams @ 5/9

These rivals own identical 4-8 records but it’s the Lions that are picked to prevail on the back of their recent form.

A three-game Lions winning run came to an end on a Hail Mary play from the Green Bay Packers last time out, while the Rams have lost five in a row and have been heavily outscored in each of the last two outings.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat New Orleans Saints @ 5/11

A Buccaneers win here would go down as a contrasting piece of history for both franchises. Victory would send Tampa Bay above .500 for the first time in three years, while a loss would consign the Saints to their first five-game losing streak in 10 seasons.

In winning three of their last four the Bucs have allowed just 16.8 points-per-game, while the Saints allow the most points in the NFL and concede the most total yardage.

Seattle Seahawks (-11) to beat Baltimore Ravens @ 10/11

Having reached the Super Bowl in each of the past two seasons, the Seahawks know a thing or two about timing their climb into form.

In winning the last three games Seattle has positioned itself nicely to capitalise on their good-play in the playoffs and last week its vaunted defence held the Minnesota Vikings to a measly 125 yards in total – the lowest by any side this season.
