Noel Fehily is ready to go for the Cheltenham Festival

Published:

I am not too busy this weekend. In fact I have only one ride and that is in the bumper at Sandown.

With the Cheltenham Festival imminent I am trying to be a bit careful about what I ride. I’ve had enough time out for injury.

I have actually ridden three bumper winners for the Harry Fry in the last fortnight so the yard are in good form and the horses running well.

I like the one I ride for Harry at Sandown, Whitehotchillifili (3.00) so I am hoping she can add to the run of success.

I’ve not ridden her before. She won nicely first time at Southwell in December. Then she ran a good race last month at Warwick where the ground would have been quick enough for her.

The slower conditions at Sandown should suit her better. Obviously it’s a competitive race but I think she is well capable of running a good race. She is a nice mare.

That will be it for me this weekend. I plan to ride on Monday, though I have not decided where, and then it will be the Cheltenham Festival next.

We could do with getting on with Cheltenham now as we’ve done plenty of talking about it. I am looking forward to it starting.

I will be involved every day. I know some of my rides in races like the novices but in the handicaps a lot of people have still to make up their minds.

I will have a few rides every day. I particular like Get In The Queue who I will ride in the Champion Bumper if the rain comes.

I will talk more about him and the other horses I ride in my daily Ladbrokes blogs during the Festival.
