Nottingham Forest odds: Nuno's side to miss out on Champions League?

Ladbrokes looks at the odds of Nottingham Forest, this season's high-flyers, missing out on a spot in the 2025/26 Champions League.

In April 2024, Forest were fighting to remain in the Premier League, but fast forward 12 months and they're just a few wins away from securing a spot in next season's Champions League.

But what if Nuno Espirito Santo's side fall at the final hurdle? Well Ladbrokes looks at the odds of Nottingham Forest not qualifying for the Champions League.

At this stage, many fans expect Forest to qualify for the Champions League next season, so much so that they're odds-on to finish inside the top four, alongside Arsenal, title favourites Liverpool, and one other club.

Nuno's side started the season well, and their strong form has continued into 2025. They remain only one of two sides that Liverpool have played twice and failed to win against this season, and have picked up points against the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Man United.

The odds news for Forest is that they may not even have to finish inside the top four to qualify for the Champions League next season, such has been the quality of the English sides in Europe this season.

It seems very likely that the Premier League will be given five spots in the Champions League next season, so Forest could even afford to fall from third to fifth and make it into Europe's top club competition.

However, what if that doesn't happen?

It's likely that Forest have done enough and will continue to do enough to at least finish inside the top five, but Ladbrokes has a market open for those who think it might not happen.

The assumed probability of Forest not making it into the top five, and not qualifying for the Champions League as a result, stands at just shy of 30%.

Despite that, many fans at the City Ground remain confident, such is their easy run-in over the next seven games, that they should have enough to make it into the Champions League next season.

As well as fighting for a spot in the top four (or five), Forest are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. However, the latest competition odds suggest they'll be knocked out by Manchester City and won't make the final.
