Olazabal the man to lead Europe to Ryder Cup victory
Published:JOSE MARIA OLAZABAL has been appointed the European Ryder Cup captain and it’s 1/1 with Ladbrokes that he leads them to success in the 2012 tournament.
The betting is as finely poised as ever though as the USA are also 1/1, with the tie priced up at 10/1. It’s 8/1 that Colin Montgomerie plays and the same price applies should Tiger Woods not participate.
It’s 200/1 Olazabal wins the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and 20/1 for him to make the top ten.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “It looks like Olazabal and Jimenez will be the men to lead Europe to the next Ryder Cup and we can’t split them and the USA at the moment. This appointment could be a real shot in the arm for Abu Dhabi.”
