One player each Premier League club should sign

As the 2024/25 season draws to a close and the summer transfer window edges nearer, Ladbrokes picks out one player that each Premier League club should sign.
From solid goalkeepers to world-renowned centre forwards, there's always somebody out there for every team, with some sides splashing the cash and others taking a more reserved approach to the transfer window.
Below, Ladbrokes highlights one player that every current Premier League club should sign this summer, with the likes of Alexander Isak, Marcus Rashford and Nuno Mendes all featuring.
One player each Premier League club should sign
Arsenal - Viktor Gyökeres
Arsenal's need for a striker has been talked about for some time, and despite Mikel Merino doing an excellent job filling the gap for now, a true centre forward is still seen as the player to take the Gunners to the next level.
To out-perform the likes of Liverpool and Man City over a 38-game season, Arsenal need a focal point with a natural striker's instinct and a real eye for goal - which all points to Viktor Gyökeres.
The Sporting CP striker has had an incredible couple of seasons in Portugal, scoring nearly 100 goals in two years, and with the Swede also displaying his quality in the Champions League, he looks ready-made for the Premier League and could be key in Arsenal's hunt for the title.
Aston Villa - Marco Asensio
Aston Villa have built a formidable squad over the last year or so, with quality players across the pitch, but with the impact that Marco Asensio has had at the club since his January loan move, they should certainly be looking to make the signing a permanent one.
Not many people would have foreseen Asensio being so influential for Villa, hitting the ground running with eight goals in his opening 10 games and helping guide his side to the latter stages of both the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Bournemouth - Caoimhin Kelleher
With Kepa Arrizabalaga only on loan from Chelsea, Bournemouth will be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and we think Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher could be the answer.
Second choice at Liverpool behind Alisson, one of the world's best, Kelleher has consistently proven his quality when given the chance, but with Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili also joining Liverpool in the summer, Kelleher could find his game time even more limited.
Therefore, a move is probably on the cards for the Ireland international, and with Bournemouth looking up at the European spots with an exciting team and a highly-acclaimed manager, this could be the perfect move for both the club and the player.

Brentford - Kieran Trippier
Despite playing regularly again recently due to an injury to Lewis Hall, Kieran Trippier has spent more time on the bench than he would've liked this year, and with right back a position that Brentford could look to strengthen, the 34-year-old would be an ideal signing.
At his age, Trippier's price wouldn't be excessive, while his experience and leadership would be invaluable in a relatively young back line. On top of that, Trippier's performances have remained at a good level within the Premier League, and his recent experiences of winning La Liga and the Carabao Cup would be a huge boost for the squad.
Effective at both ends of the pitch and a real leader both on and off the pitch, Trippier moving to West London could be a shrewd piece of business by Thomas Frank and his team as they look to push into the top 10 and beyond.
Brighton and Hove Albion - Fikayo Tomori
Fikayo Tomori has been at Milan for five seasons now, and it may be time for the 27-year-old to leave Serie A and return to England as he enters his peak years.
After bursting onto the Premier League scene at Chelsea, Tomori quickly fell out of favour and opted for a move to Italy to revitalise his career, and while he has been an important part of Milan's side for the past few seasons, a move back to the PL may even boost his chances of a potential England recall ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Tomori actually played for Brighton back in the 2016/17 season, and with the Seagulls potentially needing a new centre back as Lewis Dunk gets phased out of the side, the Milan defender could be an excellent addition for Fabian Hürzeler's team. He may also be open to moving on from a struggling Milan side, who aren't even in contention to win the league.
Chelsea - Marcus Rashford
In what would be one of the moves of the summer, Marcus Rashford to Chelsea has all the ingredients to be a successful transfer, with the club crying out for a forward to take the pressure off Cole Palmer.
Since signing for Aston Villa on loan from Man United in January, Rashford has been deployed as both a winger and a striker, which would be a brilliant option for Chelsea should the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Pedro Neto pick up injuries again next season.
The 27-year-old showed excellent form with Villa before picking up an injury, and should Chelsea go on to win the Conference League this season - which they are runaway favourites to do - then Rashford would likely also be intrigued by the prospect of European nights at Stamford Bridge. It would be a huge move, but it also has the potential to be a really exciting one for Chelsea.
Crystal Palace - Taylor Harwood-Bellis
This summer may well be the one where Crystal Palace finally cash in on captain Marc Guehi - but even if they manage to keep him at the club, making a move for Taylor Harwood-Bellis would be a smart bit of business by the Eagles.
Palace will likely be looking for a centre back regardless this summer, with injuries meaning players such as Jefferson Lerma have had to fill in at the back, so going for the Southampton defender would improve the depth and give them another excellent option.
The 23-year-old has already made his England debut and has been highly rated for some time now, so with Southampton dropping down into the Championship for next season, Harwood-Bellis is likely to have a number of Premier League suitors. A progressive club on the up under Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace could be the perfect destination for the young centre back to grow.
Everton - Stephy Mavididi
Despite looking set to maintain their record of having never been relegated from the Premier League, Everton have had another underwhelming season, particularly in front of goal.
The Toffees are one of the league's lowest-scoring sides, and they could do with a real injection of pace and trickery out wide - which is exactly what Leicester's Stephy Mavididi would bring. With the Foxes heading to the Championship next season, Mavididi will likely be looking for a Premier League club to prise him away from the King Power, and he would provide great competition for the likes of Jack Harrison.
The winger has given a decent account of himself in a struggling Leicester side, and with Everton's move to their new stadium bringing what fans will hope is the start of a new dawn, a pacey player like Mavididi could become a real crowd favourite.
Fulham - Omari Hutchinson
Fulham are having an excellent season under Marco Silva, and have built a very strong squad as they launch a push for the European places, but Ipswich Town's Omari Hutchinson would offer them something new.
Still only 21 years old, Hutchinson has provided some real moments of quality for Ipswich this season and will be hopeful of a move should the Tractor Boys go down, with Fulham potentially needing a long-term option on the right side of their attack.
Hutchinson is also capable of playing centrally, giving Marco Silva different options as he looks to take his Fulham side to the next level, and the exciting young player could be keen on a move back to London having spent all of his previous years in the capital.
Ipswich Town - Finn Azaz
Ipswich are heading back to the Championship after one year in the top flight, and should be looking at Middlesbrough's Finn Azaz to bolster their attacking options.
Azaz has excelled in the Championship for Boro this season, getting over 20 goal involvements and cementing his place among the league's best attacking midfielders. Ipswich's squad looks well-placed to launch a promotion bid, and picking up Finn Azaz to provide extra creativity could be the difference between play-offs or the top two.
24 years old and hungry to impress, the Republic or Ireland international would be an excellent signing for Ipswich.
Leicester City - Kieffer Moore
With Leicester's relegation to the Championship now confirmed, their thinking will be tailored towards an immediate return to the Premier League, and Ladbrokes thinks Sheffield United's Kieffer Moore would be an excellent addition to the squad.
The Wales striker has made a habit of getting promoted in recent years, reaching the Premier League with both Bournemouth and Ipswich, and with Sheffield United among the favourites to achieve promotion this season, it would be promotion in back-to-back campaigns for the forward.
Adding Moore to the Leicester frontline to take some of the pressure off Jamie Vardy could be an excellent move by the Foxes, with Moore's experience and pedigree in the second tier helping both on and off the pitch.
Liverpool - Alexander Isak
This season's Premier League champions, Liverpool have enjoyed Arne Slot's first campaign in the dugout - but it is still likely to be a busy summer for the Reds as they look to push on next season.
With Mohamed Salah signing a new contract to stay beyond the summer, Liverpool's chances of winning the league again next season already look healthy, but signing Alexander Isak to be their main striker would be a huge addition to the squad.
Isak has been one of the most in-form strikers in the world this season, scoring over 20 goals in all competitions and winning the Carabao Cup, but the Swede could well be on the move this summer. There aren't many more attractive clubs than Liverpool, and with Darwin Nunez falling out of favour this term, Isak could be the man to fire Liverpool to success again next year.
Manchester City - Nuno Mendes
In a disappointing season for Man City, injuries have hampered their ability to be at their best, with long term absences to key players proving costly.
One of those players has been Nathan Ake, and a new first-choice left back could be a great addition for Man City as they strive to rediscover their dominance - which leads us onto PSG's Nuno Mendes.
The 22-year-old's Champions League performances have earned him a place in our UCL team of the season so far, and with PSG among the favourites to go on and win the competition, his quality is clear for all to see. Incredible pace, excellent technical ability and already making winning a habit, he fits the bill perfectly for Man City - but he won't be cheap.
Manchester United - Rodrigo Muniz
Manchester United have been toothless in front of goal this season, with their top scorer not even reaching double figures in the league, so a proven Premier League goalscorer should definitely be on the wish list.
With that in mind, Ladbrokes thinks Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz could be a shrewd signing for the Red Devils, with the 23-year-old enjoying his best goalscoring season as Fulham push for Europe. European football could end up being a deciding factor for Muniz, so Manchester United lifting the Europa League - which they are currently among the favourites to win - would be a huge bonus.
While Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled to have a real impact this season, Muniz's physicality and eye for goal would make him an excellent focal point for Ruben Amorim's side.
Newcastle United - James Trafford
James Trafford is a player that would benefit a number of Premier League teams this summer, breaking records in an excellent Championship season with Burnley, but we think Newcastle could be the perfect destination for the young goalkeeper.
With Nick Pope struggling to get back to his best following injury and Martin Dubravka likely wanting first-team football, Newcastle could find themselves needing a 'keeper in the summer window, and James Trafford is one of England's hottest prospects right now.
While he couldn't help Burnley stay in the league last season, his performances in the Championship have seen him concede roughly a goal every three games, and as Newcastle continue to push towards the Champions League places with Alexander Isak chasing the Golden Boot, the Magpies will certainly be an attractive proposition for Trafford.
Nottingham Forest - Liam Delap
With reports claiming that Liam Delap will be available for around £30m now Ipswich have been relegated, the young forward will likely be on every transfer wish list in the country - but a move to Nottingham Forest would be the perfect fit ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Despite Chris Wood having an excellent season, earning him a place in our Premier League team of the season so far, the 33-year-old is unlikely to repeat his goalscoring exploits next year, opening the door for Liam Delap to become the main man.
With rapid wingers, eye-catching creative midfielders and an excellent chance of finishing inside the top four, Forest are in a fantastic position to poach Delap from under the noses of every other PL side, and the 22-year-old has all the ingredients to become a real Premier League star.
Southampton - Michael Keane
Currently on track to record one of the lowest Premier League points tallies of all time, Southampton are in desperate need of reinforcements as they prepare for a season in the Championship.
Losing has become a real habit for Southampton this season, so shoring up the defence will be a good place to start for whoever comes in as the new Saints manager - with Everton's Michael Keane looking a really solid option.
Keane has played Premier League football for the past nine seasons, but his game time has grown increasingly limited over the last three years, so the former England defender could well be open to a move down to the Championship. His experience and quality would be a huge boost for Southampton after a torrid season in the PL, with the 32-year-old also out of contract in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur - Jack Grealish
Tottenham have been linked with Jack Grealish numerous times throughout his career, and this summer could finally see the Manchester City forward head to North London.
Spurs are in real need of quality enforcements in the transfer window as they look to put a disastrous Premier League campaign behind them, and Grealish could well follow Kevin De Bruyne out of the Man City door this summer.
Pep Guardiola has often favoured a different type of winger this season, with Savinho and Jeremy Doku causing teams all sorts of problems, and having won every trophy available, Grealish may see this year as the right time to move on and get back to playing regular football - even if Spurs fail to win the Europa League.
West Ham United - Evan Ferguson
Back in the winter, Ladbrokes called for West Ham to make a move for Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window, and they did exactly that. So now we're backing them to make that loan move permanent.
The young striker excelled under Graham Potter at Brighton when he first burst onto the scene, and could find his form again if he settles down in East London, despite not yet scoring for the Irons since his January move.
The striker is still only 20 years old, has 20 caps for Ireland and has shown his quality at the top level, so with West Ham potentially needing a new striker to cover for Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug, Ferguson may well be the man.

Wolves - Fabio Vieira
Wolves have become a Premier League haven for Portuguese players, and with Vitor Pereira's side desperately needing some new attacking options, Fabio Vieira could be the perfect pick.
On loan from Arsenal at Porto this season, Vieira is unlikely to be part of Mikel Arteta's plans in the 2025/26 campaign, so the midfielder will likely be open to a permanent move away from the Emirates.
Wolves have had a largely forgettable campaign, earning a low grade in Ladbrokes' 2024/25 season ratings, and an injection of creative flair in the form of Fabio Vieira is likely to give their fans hope of an improved effort next time around - especially if star man Matheus Cunha leaves the club this summer.
