Crystal Palace v Leicester betting tips and odds
Leicester hope to bounce back from a disappointing night in Europe when they visit Crystal Palace on Sunday as 13/10 favourites.
Brendan Rodgers made six changes for the Europa League trip to Legia Warsaw and despite throwing on the likes of Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes and James Maddison in the second half, they went down to a 1-0 defeat against the Polish champions.
Patrick Vieira described the Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Brighton as “brutal”, so let’s look at some of the options in our Palace v Leicester betting tips.
Match Odds
Neal Maupay broke Palace hearts with an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time on Monday night which dashed their hopes of a second win of the season.
Jordan Ayew should have made the game safe with 14 minutes remaining only to shoot wide when sent clear by Christian Benteke, but as galling as the result will be for the Palace players they remain unbeaten at Selhurst Park and are 21/10 to win on Sunday.
Last season’s fixture ended in a 1-1 draw and a share of the spoils can be backed at 9/4 in our Palace v Leicester betting tips, although the odds are 16/5 if we add goals to that outcome.

Palace took the lead in both encounters with the Foxes last season and are 6/5 to make it a hat-trick and 21/10 to do so in the first half.
The Foxes have scored and conceded in four of their six games this season and both matches last season involved goals at both ends so we go 8/11 on a repeat at Selhurst Park.
All three of Leicester’s away games this season have involved goals at both ends and we have boosted their odds from 7/2 to 4/1 on them winning that way, while Palace to win and Wilfried Zaha to have at least two shots on target has been increased from 11/2 to 13/2.
Talking Tactics
Vieira stuck with a 4-3-3 on Monday night with Odsonne Edouard leading the line accompanied by Zaha and the misfiring Ayew in attack.
The match saw Luka Milivojevic make his first start of the season in the heart of midfield although he was substituted 18 minutes from time.
Rodgers is expected to bring back senior players Vardy, Barnes and Ryan Bertrand, while Kelechi Iheanacho will return after missing the game in Poland because of complications surrounding his documentation.
Wilfred Ndidi was suspended for Thursday’s defeat, but he is almost certain to return in midfield.
Goalscorer Odds
Zaha opened the scoring in both of last season’s fixtures and is 5/1 to break the deadlock again or 2/1 to score bearing in mind he took the penalty on Monday instead of usual spot-kick taker Milivojevic.
Edouard is 11/2 and 9/4 in the two markets in our Palace v Leicester betting tips, while Conor Gallagher is 10/1 and 7/2 having produced an impressive performance against the Seagulls.

Vardy bagged a double in last week’s 2-2 draw against Burnley and is 7/2 to draw first blood or 13/10 to score, with Iheanacho 4/1 and 13/8 in the equivalent markets having bagged the winner in last season’s fixture and the opener in the previous campaign.
Barnes struck a late equaliser at Selhurst Park in December and is 11/2 to get the opening goal or 9/4 to find the net, while Timothy Castagne is 14/1 to score against Palace as he did last season.
