Jockey and Ladbrokes ambassador Paul Townend assesses the chances of his two rides at Cheltenham on Saturday.

We’llhavewan – 3.00 Cheltenham

I am looking forward to getting back to Cheltenham this weekend. We have good memories from last year there.

I have two rides starting with We’llhavewan in the Pertemps Qualifier. He has been running off an all-time high mark but he has been running competitively as well all summer where he got a couple of wins beside his name. He’s obviously fit from running throughout the summer and that will stand to him.

The ground will be a little bit slower than the summer ground. The step up to three miles won’t do any harm to him and will hopefully bring about a bit of improvement if anything. He has a nice racing weight even though he is running off that all-time high mark. I think he can do himself justice and put up a good show. He should be very competitive.

Catch Yourself On – 4.45 Cheltenham

He is unraced for anyone. Willie Mullins obviously has a brilliant record with bumper horses. There isn’t a lot of form to go on but we like what he does at home, although we won’t know what he can actually do until we get to the track.

He has flat pedigree and I am interested to see what the ground will be like over there. He should give a good account of himself and fingers crossed I can come home with a winner.
