PGA Championship: Preview, odds, favourites and how to bet

The second Major of 2025 is edging closer as golfers take to Quail Hollow Club to compete for the PGA Championship between May 15 and 18.
Rory McIlroy is backed to continue his excellent start to the year after his memorable Masters triumph by winning the third PGA Championship of his career - and first since 2014.
The Northern Irishman, who is the favourite to win the Sports Personality of the Year, is neck and neck with world No1 Scottie Scheffler according to the bookies with 2024 winner Xander Schauffele leading the chasing pack.
Ladbrokes takes you through all the odds and favourites ahead of the tournament in North Carolina.

McIlroy to continue Calendar Grand Slam hopes?
Much like before The Masters, world No1 and No2 Scheffler and McIlroy are the two most fancied to claim victory at Quail Hollow, with McIlroy's triumph at Augusta seeing him edge the American as it stands.
McIlroy is a two-time winner at the tournament but is without a victory since 2014, having also triumphed in 2012. But after finally breaking his Masters curse last month, he may now fancy himself to start building up his silverware cabinet once again.
A strong record at Quail Hollow is another thing going the 35-year-old's way, having won the Wells Fargo Championship there four times.
Winning the PGA Championship there in May would continue the possibility of McIlroy becoming the first golfer to complete a Calendar Grand Slam by winning all four Majors this year.
Scheffler and Schauffele in the running
World No1 Scheffler is still searching for his first win of 2025 after eight wins last year but his consistent performances mean he is remains a key contender.
Fellow American Schauffele won the 2024 edition at Valhalla alongside The Open in an impressive breakout year and, like McIlroy, has a strong record at Quail Hollow with two runner-up finishes at the Wells Fargo.
Schauffele won by a one-shot deficit last year against Bryson De Chambeau, with the 2024 US Open another one to watch after another top-five finish at The Masters.
Ludvig Aberg was similarly impressive at Augusta and the Swede is also considered a strong contender, slightly ahead of 2023 Masters winner John Rahm.
