2020 US Presidential Election latest: Will Trump or Biden be President?

The day has finally come for America to hit the polls and vote for either Donald Trump or Joe Biden to win the 2020 US Presidential Election.
Millions have already voted before today, and the latest odds have Biden as odds-on favourite to become the 46th President of the United States.
That leaves incumbent Republican Donald Trump as the outsider. But all is still to play for with a number of Swing States whose Electoral College votes are very much up for grabs.
Though we may not get a full set of results tonight, 270 Electoral College votes is the magic number both Biden and Trump will each seek to reach in their bid for the White House.
Next US President odds
Barack Obama’s former Vice-President has continued to see his odds shorten, having once been a 50/1 shot after Trump’s victory in the 2016 US Presidential Election.
Indeed, Biden was still available at 33/1 earlier this year during the Democratic Primaries in February.
And as Biden’s odds have strengthened, consequentially Trump’s have slipped. The business mogul was a 4/6 shot in February, but as the year has gone on, the current President’s odds have slipped.
As mentioned, either candidate will win the Election if they claim 270 or more Electoral College votes. There’s 6/1 about Biden winning 270-299 votes, with 7/2 about Biden claiming 300-349 votes.
For Trump, 4/1 says he receives 270-299 votes, while there’s also 4/1 about the current President winning 300-349.
And though it’s never happened before, there is a chance both candidates could receive 269 each of the 538 available, leading to a tie. This is because Nebraska splits its Electoral College voting allocation. That’s a 50/1 shot.
US Election State Betting Odds
As we touched on earlier, and as you can read more about on our US Presidential Election page, a number of Swing States could play a huge role in tonight’s Election result.
Florida, which holds 29 College votes, Texas (38 votes) and Georgia (16 votes) are three of the most hotly-contested Swing States.
Our latest odds show Republicans at 4/6 to win in Florida, with Democrats 11/10 to win in the Sunshine State.
Trump’s Republican party are favourites in Georgia too at 8/11, with Evens saying the Democrats take the Peach State.
And down in the Lone Star state of Texas, the Republicans are 1/3, with Democrats 9/4.
The Democrats are favourites to take Michigan (16 votes) at 1/3, Pennsylvania (20 votes) at 2/5 and Wisconsin (10 votes) at 2/7.
